So, this is our official last week in our house. We will be moving back to our old house on the other side of Washington.
I gotta say, this whole change has been really rough on me. I have made some awesome friends out here and although, technically, I'm really not moving that far away, I feel like we're never gonna see each other again. But that's rediculous, because we will. I guess girl's just get a lot more attached than boys. Jace has already moved in his mind and he is so ready for a change...not me.
So, for the last week and for now we are just packing, cleaning, painting, and moving.
Sad times.

cousin time
So, my cuz, Ashley, came down for a visit on her spring break and she brought her hubby, Pete, and her adorable chunker of a kid, Owen. We had a grand time and I thoroughly enjoyed the company.
This is actually the first time we have ever hung out. You read that right. We've been cousins our whole lives and the only time we ever see each other is at the family Christmas party. Sad, really. But, I guess that makes us appreciate each other a little more.
So, some events were:
We got manicures/pedicures and got in trouble for picking the same color. Honestly, like the lady has nothing else going on in her life that she has to get mad at us for wanting to be twiners. Come on.
The nails look like 2 different colors in this picture, which oddly enough in different light it does different. Sometimes they're purple and sometimes they're pink. Weird.

Aliyah and Xander loved playing with Owen.

Honestly, I found it weird I didn't take more pics. I don't even have Pete. Well, don't worry, he was off golfing with Jace and my dad for some of the time and I hope he liked it. Ash and I got some shopping in and I started teaching her to crochet hats.
Anyway, so glad you came down! It's a little weird to see you not at Christmas. :)

park day
Last Monday we went to the park with some friends. The kids had a blast and would've stayed all day except that it was super sunny and I totally didn't think of sunscreen. So we left before my kids could fry. Here are some pics of the day.

Xander thought this was a shower, so here he is washing his hair. :)

We had lots of fun. Thanks for the invite Pulsiphers. :)

My kids were just fighting on the couch...{what's new?}
Aliyah started it and Xander was sure gonna finish it.
Xander: You started it...now you goin' down.
Where do they learn this stuff?

100
(Do not mock...this pic was taken when Jace and I were dating. Look at how much bigger we both are. :) Jace in a good way though.)
Today my Great Grammie would've turned 100 years old. Can you believe that? She was just a little over 7 months shy of being around for this HUGE milestone.
Grammie, we love you so much. I am so, so happy that I got to know you for 25 long years and also that you got to know my children, even if it was a short amount of time. I loved having sleepovers with you, picking apricots, dying Easter eggs, and laughing with you. You will always be a part of me and the person I am today.
I love you!
Happy Birthday!

movie day
On Thursday Jace got invited to go with the young men in our ward up to BrianHead to go snowboarding for the day.
The kids and I went to see this:
Aliyah is OBSESSED with the chipmunks. Whenever we go to the gym the second she gets in the daycare she asks for the chipmunks. The kids are probably so annoyed by that, but she knows what she likes.
The kids liked it. There were some dull parts for them and about halfway through Xander got a little bored and started running up and down the aisle. But for the most part it was a nice outing.

babies, skates, and crafts
Thursday and Friday we got to watch baby Tabs.

The kids are really good with baby Tabs and leave the couch alone that she's laying on. But once in a while I'll catch Xander about 2 inches from her just staring. Then he'll look at me and say "She's so cute" with a big grin on his face. Aliyah wants nothing to do with her. I can barely even get her to look at her. She only wanted to hold her after Xander did because I made her so I could take a pic.
There was one incident, other than the staring, when Xander interacted with her and he was VERY concerned. Tabs made a grunting noise when Xander was standing by her and he got really worried.
X: What's that sound?
me: It's baby Tabitha. She's just talking to you.
X: O...What's she say?
me: She says that she loves you.
X: O.
Yesterday the kids found some shoe boxes and skated around the house.
Xander would say "skate, skate, skate" as he went by.
And Saturday I went to my friend, Julie's, and made this beautiful cake stand. :) But I just finished it off with the ribbon today.
So that's all for now. But stay tuned for more fun!

fancy hair
One of my high school friends shared a blog with me that is all about little girly hair dos. You can find it here. They are super cute and I am now obsessed with doing Aliyah's hair every day. Here's the ones we've tried.

I don't know where she comes up with all her ideas, but I am lovin' that she shares.
So, click on the link and try some out. They are all super cute.
Happy Hairdos! :)

*shadow chasing*

sidenote...this is mostly for me to remember, you guys probably won't care that much.
Jace brought it to my attention and I started watching him. It was pretty funny.
He was staring at the wall and walking kind of funny all the way across the room. Then he'd jump back to where he could see it and do some punching moves. Then he'd jump away again. Jace told him to make his shadow dance and the moves he did...ahh, I'm still giggling.
I realize this would be more funny with a picture or the video that I got. But by the time I got the camera out Xander realized everyone was watching him so he was just being a goof.

I just had to add this pic because it cracks me up.

I bring you...Princess Aliyah of Wassum
On Saturday, February 27, 2010 the Washington City Community Center had their annual Princess Party. My friend, Holly, and I are such awesome parent's that we decided to get our little girlies tickets for this event.
I got Aliyah all ready. She chose her princess dress and we did her princess hair. We picked up princess Madi and we were off to the ball of the century.
When we got there they had boys in suits open doors for us and the Washington County Royalty put sashes on the girls.

We were sitting right by the TV which was playing some Barbie Princess movie, so while most people were still eating this is where Aliyah was. She recently has a fetish for Barbie.Next we broke up into stations. We started off by coloring Cinderella

Then we went outside for our carriage ride. We waited in line for 35 min! So, the girls kept busy by...

They also played tag with some other princesses until Belle and Princess Aliyah collided and that was the end of that.
FINALLY it was the girls turn. We wanted to hurry the process along a little more so our princesses let Snow White ride with them. Aliyah was thrilled to ride with her. :)

Next we had to get our "make-up" done before we saw the King. I put make-up in quotes because they had lip gloss that they showed them how to put on with their finger and they had shimmer lotion. Oooh. Very princessy.

Next it was time to meet the King of Wassum.

I think she liked kneeling because this was her next picture pose for me. :)Here we are posing with some princesses.

Next we learned to waltz. Aliyah didn't want to dance with the prince that was there so her and Madi danced together.

And finally we "Kissed" the Prince.

O...I had to add this because me and Holly could not get enough of these delectable cream puffs. We kept going back for more. These were the very last 2. Score! So, there was our Princess Party. Next year I think I'm going to have Jace take her so she can have her "Prince" with her.
O...and I have to add that for a week leading up to this event Aliyah thought this was her princess party. Madi even asked Holly if she could go to Aliyah's party. So funny.
