Pine Valley

We got a call from our friends, the Fieldings, who happen to have a "cabin" [more like a 2nd home] in Pine Valley.  They were having a snow day and wanted us to come.  Well, as you can imagine we don't have any snow clothes.  Kind of a problem.  We at least ran to TJ Maxx and got them some gloves...Jace is too cheap to get more than that...and headed off to Pine Valley.

Once we got farther up the mountain it started snowing.  Not a lot, but everything was COVERED in snow.  It looked so pretty.  I love when the bushes and trees have snow all over their branches.

We finally got there...Jace sufficiently got the van stuck real good right in front of their house.  Nice.  The kids were so excited to get out in the snow.  Poor kids.  They just had to wear jeans and whatever shoes they had.  Luckily another friend had some boots for Taya to wear.

Poor Camdyn wanted to play with the kids, but I wasn't going to take her out there.  Brr.

Taya was a baby and didn't like it one bit.  A girl after my own heart.  I like to look at it...not play in it.  Too cold.

Xander and Aliyah were crazy!  They could play in snow for hours and I'm sure they would've with the proper attire.  They had to come in and throw their clothes in the dryer.

Dwayne started pulling some of the kids on the snowmobile.  BIG hit!

Jace tried to make a snowman.  This is as good as it got.  ;)

Once Taya came in, she wouldn't stop eating the Cheetos.  Obsessed.

Thanks to the Fieldings for inviting us!  We got better snow attire for Christmas...still no pants, but we'll be better covered if you'd like to invite us again.  :)

Forgotten Carols

Went to Forgotten Carols with the Wright's and the Lyman's.  I've been so bad at getting pictures.  It was awesome and freezing cold.  A good time for sure.  I mean, we had to celebrate 12/12/12 somehow.  :)

Stayed home from church with these sick kiddos.  Suckers in the tub always make ya feel better though.  :)

At the Booth Christmas Party every year we have a "program" where the great grandkids sing, or dance, or whatever.  Aliyah was set on singing "Where Are You Christmas."  So Jace was practicing with her.

Mommy/Xander/Aliyah Date

12/8/2012

Xander has been BEGGING me for a Mommy/Xander day.  I was thinking of taking him to the new Jack Frost movie "Rise of the Guardians" but we couldn't leave Aliyah out.  So it became a date with the 3 of us.  We had the best time together.  And I finally remembered to take pictures when we hit up Krave.

Xander wanted to do a picture where we're scared of him.  He can be quite scary sometimes.

Love 'em

12/7/2012

Xander got a Santa ring pop at school and he got to make a Christmas Tree out of an ice cream cone.  He LOVED it and insisted I get a picture!

Taya wanted to "hold" baby Camdyn.  They are both feeling a LOT better today.  (In one of these pictures you can see clear back into Taya's throat and see that her tonsils are ginormous.)

Taya also found my "RAD" tattoo from the "Color Me Rad" race I did last month.  She wanted it on...so on it went.  She thought it was great and would keep saying "Rad tummy."

That night we had the Ward Christmas Party.
Before we left, Aliyah kept saying she didn't feel good and that her stomach hurt.  Lovely.  So, I was going to have Jace stay home with her [because, remember, I don't do  throw up.]  But she really wanted to go.
The Grinch visited our party this year.  Everyone was loving the skit.  Poor Aliyah was in and out of the bathroom the whole time.  She was worried she was going to be sick.  So I sent Jace home with her and the baby.  Nobody needs a sickness at a ward party.

During the skit all the Primary kids got up and sang.  They did great.

I didn't stay too late with X and T because I didn't really want to socialize.  I know...weird.  And I had to call for a ride home.  So Jace came and picked us up pretty much as soon as the singing was over.  Poor Aliyah ended up going right to sleep when the got home and felt MUCH better the next day.  I hate the sickness.
