Yesterday I was jumping on the tramp with Xander and he said:

X: "Mom! You're the coolest!"

me: "I am? Thanks Xander."

X: "Mom, you're even cooler than Dad!"

Of course I am. It's about time someone noticed.

It's just Xander

So this habit started after Halloween when we got Xander an Iron Man costume. He came home and layed it out on the floor with the mask:

And ever since he likes to lay out his outfits for the day like so:

And he'll say stuff like: Mom! Look! I'm saying Hurray (if he puts the arms in the air). Or he'll bend the pant legs up a bit so it looks like he's jumping. He really has quite the imagination.

For this outfit I think he said he was dancing.

So last night I got my butt out of the house and went to the gym.

Mind you, it was no easy task.

Jace HAD to play church ball at 7. And Jalee and I were going to do the Zumba class at 8. Kind of a problem of what to do with the kids because Jace wouldn't be home by the time we had to leave. So Jalee and I had to take the kids to the day care at the gym.

No big deal for the older kids. But they won't take Taya until she's 6 months. So I just thought we would stand in the back and we would put Taya on the floor.

Well, when we were walking in, one of the ladies that works at the Rec Center told me I couldn't take the baby in because it's only 12 and older. She said it was because the music was too loud.

I ran into some of my friends and told them I couldn't go in and we decided I would just "sneak" her in.

So, we did.

Then, in the middle of the warm up song, in marches the cranky lady from the front desk.

"You can't have that baby in here!"

I told her Jace was going to be coming any minute to pick her up (because we had called him...and texted...he didn't ever answer, but I was sure he would come get her).

"It doesn't matter. It's 12 and older."

Then I said, "I feel like it should be my decision to bring her in here or not." (Referring to the loudness because, after all, that was the only explanation she had given for that rule. The music wasn't any louder than the movies...or if I was upstairs running on the treadmill, the music would still be that same loudness - would it not?)

Then she got all defensive and said, "It is NOT. It is our decision and you can't have that baby in here!"

Then she chased me out of the gym.

I was SO ANNOYED!

Honestly, I can completely see their point about not wanting little children running around. I get that. But Taya is in a car seat. She's not going anywhere. What is your reasoning behind kicking me out of Zumba? Honestly.

So, I went upstairs and ran on the treadmill where the music was just as loud as if I would've been in the class. I was on the treadmill for about 10 minutes when up comes the cranky lady. She was looking for me. As soon as she spotted me she pretended she was doing something else up there. REALLY, LADY!?! REALLY? She's like my babysitter.

Anyway, just blowing off some steam about the cranky lady at the gym. I'm still mad at her. But I did lose a few hundred calories on the treadmill. I showed her.

Just SUPER glad these people aren't sick anymore. Last week was TERRIBLE! But we made it through...and they waited almost a whole week before they passed it on to me. (They're so thoughtful like that.) Honestly, I think they knew if I got sick before they got better they wouldn't have gotten the fabulous "sick treatment" for as long as did. Little smarties I tell ya.

Anyway...just glad everyone is healthy now.

Jace gave Taya his sickness.

This is day 2 of fevers, snotty nose, coughing, and eye goop

So sad.

Last week the kids and I needed to get out of the house. Jace was in Arizona so we had had a little too much time together and we needed a break.

Jumpin' Jacks was the perfect answer.

Some type of somethin' is going around and I tell you...it sucks.

Poor Jace has been sick since Friday night. He N.E.V.E.R. gets sick.

Like...never.

So for him to STILL have a fever, achy body, hot/cold flashes, and the shakes you know it's bad.

The last couple nights he can't even go to the bathroom without feeling like fainting.

Now Aliyah has a fever.

And I tell you what...If she gets what Jace has we're in trouble.

It's only a matter of time before I get it - because I get EVERYTHING.

I told Aliyah under NO circumstances is she allowed by the baby.

I'm just REALLY hoping Taya doesn't get it. Poor thing.

Please bless no one else gets this narly disease.

At least there has been no vomit. That's a relief.

2 months old

We've had 2 wonderful months with this little squish! I can't believe it! It's gone by so fast.

And of course I couldn't pick just one picture. She's just too cute!


Some things about Taya at 2 months:

• weighs 9 pounds 14 ounces (30%)
• 22.5 inches (62%)
• head 15.4 inches (62%)

• Loved by her sister...and brother

• growing up too fast

• officially on formula now...makes me sad, but I couldn't keep up with her

• completely adorable.

• Looking more like Aliyah every day

• Only cries when I put lotion on her after her bath...and when she's done getting her picture taken

• still gets the hiccups everyday. Mostly whenever she eats.

• has been smiling since she was 5 weeks

• loves her binkie

• Can sit up all by herself! [with assistance from the couch]

• spits up more than my other 2. I feel like I'm constantly wiping her face

• Has been consistently sleeping 7-10 hours at night for 3 weeks now!!! That makes me and her SUPER DUPER HAPPY

We just love our Miss Taya and are so happy she's come to join our family!
