fall break

October 18-21

We decided to take advantage of the long fall break and head up to Coalville.  The kids hadn't seen their cousins or Jace's parents since July, so they were dying to see them.

We headed up on Thursday.  The cousins came over to Jeff and Jeanette's and they all played for hours.  I don't even think I really saw them.  Aliyah ended up sleeping over at Brynn's house that night.

Friday:
Jen and I went to a boutique in Henefer.  I got the cutest fall wreath!  I'm excited to hang it up after Halloween is over.  Jeff and Jeanette decided they wanted to hang out with all the grandkids.  We first went to Sugarhouse Park and ate some pizza.  The kids fed the ducks and LOVED it!

After, they took the grandkids to a movie...Madagascar 3.  Jen went with them so Beckham could go.  But there was no way Taya or Camdyn were going to sit through that, so Jace and I took the babies shopping with us and Jaxon.  We hit up City Creek.  AMAZING mall.  But I don't really feel like there are too many stores that I want to shop at.  So, after the movie was over we met up with Jace's parents to give them the babies.  Jace surprised me with an overnight stay at The Grand America!

We went shopping at The Gateway before we headed to the hotel.  Jace bought me some nice jeans.  :)

We ate dinner at The Little America.  I think the only good food there is at Thanksgiving though.  I was not impressed with my dinner.  :(

Could've been the company though.  Who wants to eat dinner with the unibomber?  Or it could've been the fact that it was 9:30 at night.  I haven't eaten that late in years.

Our room was on the 24th floor at the very top...penthouse if you will.  :)

Saturday:
The view was amazing.  And so pretty this time of year with all the changing trees on the mountains.

After we had a much needed escape from the kids we headed back to Coalville.  I guess the older 2 slept at Jen's house, so J & J only had the babies.  But they didn't sleep that well.  Darn it.

That day the kids played and played and played.  As you can see, Aliyah is wearing the same clothes as Friday...hair the same but very ruined.  Honestly, there is no point in making these kids bathe when they're all together.  They just get so dirty and gross no matter what they're doing.  At least they're happy.

Bryce helped Xander and Aliyah make a fort that night.  They wanted to sleep in it, but somehow it got ruined.  O well...

 Sunday:
Got up...drove home.

Great weekend with family.  Nice getaway.  My body likes to sleep.  :)

super saturday!

10-13-2012

Soccer games were canceled because of all the rain yesterday.  So, we used this day to get the kids some new bikes.  Xander actually was fighting us at the store because he would rather have Ninjagos than a bike.  What kid doesn't want a bike?  He was really glad once we were home though.

Tired Taya

I think someone woke up a little early today.  I found her on the floor with her blankie and binki almost passed out.  Poor thing.

We went and picked out Halloween Costumes for the older kids today!

o nooooo.....

Taya has been disappearing lately.  Every time this happens I know right where to find her.

I think every girl goes through the "nail polish" faze.  This is where they want to put it on themselves and it usually ends up everywhere else.  Taya is actually REALLY good at keeping the nail polish ONLY on her and is getting pretty good at only painting her nails.

Jace finally got smarter than her and put the nail polish up high where only he can reach it now.  We don't have this problem anymore.

Busy Camdyn

This girl is ALL over the place.  I can never find her, but luckily when I call her name she always answers with a squeal.

Halloween ... according to Xander

He's being scared here.

Xander and Aliyah put up the Halloween decor this year.  Then Xander went around the house and took pictures of everything so we would always remember.  :)
