girls trip to VEGAS! 4.23-4.24

So, I was desperate for a girls outing, and me and my girlies have been wanting to go to Vegas to do it...for the shopping, obviously. So, one day I just decided to book it and see what happened. Some ended up not being able to come, but that's ok, it just means we'll have to go again. :)

I didn't take hardly any pictures, and I'm kind of dissapointed in myself for that, but oh well.

Breakdown in a nutshell:

We got there on Friday, shopped for a bit, ate at the Cheesecake Factory, went back to the hotel, talked til the wee hours of the morning, got up, layed out, ate lunch, and shopped again.

With all the shopping you may be surprised to hear I actually had money left over. I know...I went with only cash so I wouldn't be tempted to buy more and it worked.

We definitely need to plan another girls trip...it was much needed and there was much we didn't do.

cookies, hail, and flying lessons 4/22

Today was definitely an eventful day. Grandma T is in town to watch Tabitha for the week so she made it a point to stop by and say hi to the kids. Today, she decided to make sugar cookies with them. They LOVE to help...sometimes Aliyah is a little TOO helpful, but Grandma is very patient with them.

Xander got bored helping after a while and decided he would brush his teeth with his new toothbrush.

Aliyah got a little crazy with the cutters and some circles are not so circle like.

You can always count on some cookie dough to eat in the end. YUM!

When we were done with the cookies we looked outside and saw hail falling pretty hard. The kids went outside to investigate. Aliyah tried to catch it, while Xander thought it was great weather to practice golfing.

By the time the hail stopped Jace was home for the day. He told the kids it was time to practice getting launched. So, here are their flying lessons.

Don't worry, they landed on the soft couch. :)

After a long day of many activities the kids drifted off to sleep somewhat on time and didn't make a sound all night. What bliss. :)

snorkeling anyone? 4.22

Xander found Jace's snorkeling stuff in the garage. He looks pretty good, don't ya think?

Main Street Water 4.19.2010

We went with some friends to the water park on Main Street. The kids had a blast and I love that they're getting older and can go play by themselves and I don't have to worry about them every second.

We couldn't get them to stop picking the flowers.

"follow the leader"

This face is because Aliyah wouldn't share her flowers. Really. :(

But don't worry, because now he's picked his own. I'm sure we're not going to be allowed to come back.

Towards the end of play time I think Xander was getting a little tired. I kept catching him talk to his flowers and then here he is with his head down. I think he was singing, but I couldn't make it out.

Thanks all who came. My kids had a blast, and I sure had fun chatting. :)

kite festival and swimming *4-17*

I got a call from my aunt telling me they were going to be coming down to St. George for the weekend and wanted to do something. They were actually coming for a gig my uncle was doing at the Kite Festival in Bloomington. I had never even heard of the kite festival and thought it would be fun to take the kids to.

We had fun...it was really hot, but there was a LOT to do. There were so many blow up slides and jump houses, lots of entertainment, and of course a "train" ride. I wasn't smart enough to bring my camera, so I didn't take any pics until the end when the kids got on the train and I got smart enough to pull out my phone.

After we couldn't take the heat any longer we decided to go to the pool at the hotel my aunt and uncle were staying at. The kids couldn't wait to jump in and totally took advantage of Ryan. My kids are absolutely nuts when it comes to water and love to jump, dive, and be thrown in the air.

Favorite picture of the day...she's totally posing as she's jumping in.

We had a fun time and look forward to going to the kite festival next year. It might actually be windy enough for the kite's to stay in the air.
