Christmas Party

Since I was a little pre-occupied with a baby this year I kind of forgot to plan our "Ugly Sweater Party." So some of the girls decided to do a pajama party instead. I had a lot of fun...because let's just face it...my friends are awesome!!! :)

There was good food too which TOTALLY helps. :)

And great white elephant gifts...
that would be "edible underwear" made out of candy necklaces. Nice. :)

little mommy

I came home and found Aliyah feeding Taya.

Jace already has Aliyah trained.

Lucky for Jace, Aliyah loves being a big sister.

Aliyah has been such a HUGE help with Taya. She'll feed her when we have a bottle, grab diapers, put her binkie back in her mouth, and just hold her. She's always sure to be gentle too. She's such a good little mommy.

pre*school fun 12/9/10

Aliyah came home from pre-school with her first Gingerbread House.

Miss Mary said that she stayed inside at playtime because she was so particular about which candy to put where that she was WAY slower than the other kids and wanted to finish it. But after about 5 minutes of being by herself, she decided she would rather play, so she didn't finish. But it was still "so cute!" (in Aliyah's words.)

Cutie Pa-tootie

cute li'l bum :)

Just LOVE this little squish!

first bath 12/9/10

Taya's umbilical cord fell off (finally!) so she got her first real bath!

The kids have been playing with the baby bath in the garage and so it's a disaster. I'll have to clean it before she can use it. So, her first bath was in the kitchen sink.

She wasn't so sure about it at first...

Then she figured out it was WAY better than a washcloth bath

But no matter how content you are in the water, you always have to get out. And this girl HATES to be cold.

Overall, I'd say her first bath was pretty successful. But it sure sucked getting out.

sisters 12/10/10

Aliyah asked if she could feed Taya the other day. It was super cute. I had to snap a few shots.

Temple Lights 12/10/10

We took the kids to see the lights at the temple. The first thing you see when you go through the gate is the nativity. Aliyah wasted no time posing for the camera. (She did this all by herself, I swear.)

Posing on the Temple steps

Our little model...seriously

Aliyah took this one. It'll have to do.

We went in the Visitor's Center to see the Christus. Xander loves to hear Jesus talk.

We had a good time seeing the lights and spending time together.

Ward Christmas Breakfast 12/11/10

We had a Christmas breakfast with our ward this year. I thought it was a great idea...something different for a change.

It was fun, although I noticed people didn't mingle as much. Maybe 9:00 was a little early.

After the breakfast buffet, we all sang some Christmas Carols. The kids were right up front helping Sister Lunt.

We ended with "Here Comes Santa Claus" and guess what!? He must've heard the children singing because he walked right through the door while they were singing. I tried to get a picture of Aliyah and Xander when he came in, but my battery died. So my friend, Jana, let me borrow her camera to take some pics of the kids with St. Nick.

Anyway, Xander came running from the back of the gym, "SANTA CLAUS IS HERE!!!" and Aliyah was all grins. So cute.

Xander told Santa he wants a "wheelie bike that goes by itself."

And Aliyah told Santa that she wants "Barbie Fashion Fairy-tale and Barbie Hair."

Thanks for coming to our Ward Party Santa! We loved having you visit.
