I may be a little biased, but I'm thinking these kids are pretty cute! AND it doesn't hurt that I have finally learned some stuff on photoshop. :)

Vegas for spring break

So for Spring Break I wanted to do something. Growing up we never went anywhere for Spring Break and I hated just sitting at home. Even though I'm not in school anymore...and really have no reason to even celebrate Spring Break I knew it was happening and wanted to take advantage.

So, we got a baby sitter to stay overnight with all 3 munchkins (a little traumatizing leaving the little one, but we made it) and headed for Vegas.

Jace wanted to see the Lion King, it's playing at Mandalay Bay. So, we booked a room there and then got discounted tickets to the show. :)

We got there and shopped for a bit. Not exciting at all though, because Jace was in one of his extreme tight moods, so I just bought some make-up. We went to the hotel and got ready for dinner. We ended up eating at the buffet in Mandalay Bay...NOT GOOD by the way. I would advise against it!!! We had some time to kill before the show so we stayed in the casino and watched some people play craps. It always looks so exciting on TV - I think we must've jinxed everyone that was rolling because they would crap out after a few rolls.

The show was great. Almost exactly like the movie. They added a few songs to it, making the show nearly 3 hours. My eyes were stinging from all the smoke in the casino so by the end I was nodding off a bit. Not because the show wasn't good...the time change, smoke, headache from the smoke, etc...wasn't good on me. My favorite was the giraffes. They looked really cool.

Anyway, after the show we went back to the room and I passed out on the bed. I tell ya, when we're in Vegas we are Party Poopers! Especially since it was St. Patrick's Day when we were there and people were CRAZY! Everyone was wearing green and drinking like crazy. They had Irish bands playing. And there I am in a bed upstairs asleep. O well.

The next morning we ate at the House of Blues restaurant in Mandalay Bay. SO MUCH BETTER than the buffet. Then we came home.

At least we went somewhere for Spring Break this year. For next year I'm thinking Hawaii. :) Who's in?

SWAT in the hood

Who remembers the movie S.W.A.T.?



A good show, I dare say. Before I go on, let us ponder on the hot factor that is Colin Farrell...
O he is a beautiful human being.

Anyway...

Well today my little neighborhood got its own little dose of S.W.A.T.

I pulled into the neighborhood after hours of errands and saw about 10 cop cars all around, but all the cops were stationed outside a friends house. Instantly I was worried (who wouldn't be?).

I pulled onto our street and another friend was outside and I got out of my car to ask her if she knew what was happening.

DON'T WORRY!!! It's just a training drill.

But the rumor that was started by the friend whos house it was..."A builder with Salisbury hid crack in my walls so S.W.A.T had to come and get it." That would be an early April Fools joke.

They did some training in 2 houses, so me and the kids were able to watch first hand the training that goes on for S.W.A.T.

But don't you worry, all you St. Georgians...your S.W.A.T. team is now trained! :)

4 months! 3/7/2011

Little Squish is now 4 months!

anyone can make her smile

tried baby food and gets so mad because she doesn't get it

still adored by her brother and sister

loved by mom and dad

has more blow outs now then ever before :(

LOVES bath time and splashes tons

baby talks all the time

stands really well

getting chub and fat rolls

weighs 13 lbs

has to be swaddled to take a good nap

always falls asleep in her car seat

can grab toys

giggles at Xander all the time

loves eating her hands

can't live without her binkie

such a good/happy baby

sleeps fairly well at night-going 5-6 hour stretches

naps a lot during the day

eats every 3-4 hours

loves to squeeze anything that touches her hands

North Summit Prom

So, last Friday we drove up north to see Jace's family. His niece, Brynn, was getting baptized and it was his brother's Junior Prom...which in a small town like Coalville is a big deal.

First up was Brynn's baptism on Saturday. I told the kids that Brynn had a special birthday because she turned 8 years old and could be baptized. The entire trip...and still now...Aliyah keeps telling me, "Mom, I wish I could be 8 so I could be baptized like Brynn." And Xander thinks that somehow the Holy Ghost is in your stomach. I don't know where he came up with that, but he brings it up in funny ways. The other day he told me that his stomach hurt because the Holy Ghost didn't think he did a good thing. Funny kid.

Then we saw Jaxon off to go on his date...

Then, later that night we got to go to the Prom as a family. (Still so weird to me.)

and then they get to stand in front of everyone. (Jaxon loved standing right in front of the family - can't you tell?)

Then, after everyone is presented they do a "promenade" dance that they learned during the week. O - but they do it twice. Once one way, they they turn around and do it the other way so that everyone can get pictures of their kid. L.O.L. (Now I'm laughing because this is just so different from the way that I went to Prom. But it is special to them, so we go with it.)





Then, they call the parents down and they get to dance with their Junior. :)

I must say, this was quite a new experience for me...very strange, but hey, it's Coalville! :)

(I mock, but it was actually pretty fun.)

Little Chunk

Our little one is starting to get some chunk on her and I LOVE it!
